For 34 years, Uniquities has had the privilege of dressing generations of women. Mothers and daughters. Grandmothers and granddaughters. Women beginning their careers, raising families, traveling the world, celebrating milestones, and building wardrobes that evolve right alongside their lives.
It all started in 1992 on West Franklin Street in downtown Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
And 34 years later, we're still here.
A Women's Boutique in the Heart of Chapel Hill
Our flagship's location in a college town can sometimes create a misconception about who we are.
While we're proud to call Chapel Hill home, Uniquities is a designer women's clothing boutique created for women at every stage of life. Our collections extend far beyond traditional college fashion, with a focus on sophisticated, contemporary style and beautifully made pieces women can wear to work, dinner, events, travel, weekends, and everywhere in between.
Step inside our West Franklin Street boutique and you'll find premium denim, designer dresses, elevated knitwear, jackets and blazers, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and luxury wardrobe essentials from established and emerging designers around the world.

Being a multigenerational women's boutique is one of the parts of our history we're proudest of.
We've watched longtime customers bring their daughters through our doors. We've styled mothers and daughters for weddings, vacations, careers, celebrations, and ordinary Tuesdays. We've welcomed women who first discovered Uniquities decades ago and now return with the next generation of their families.
A mother may leave with a beautiful jacket while her daughter discovers the perfect denim. A grandmother may fall in love with the same designer her granddaughter does—but style it entirely differently.
That's exactly how we think fashion should work.

From One Chapel Hill Boutique to Five North Carolina Stores
What began with one storefront on West Franklin Street has grown into five Uniquities boutiques across North Carolina, serving women in Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Charlotte, Huntersville, and well beyond our home state through our online store.
But growth hasn't changed what we want Uniquities to feel like.
We still want you to walk through our doors and find something you weren't expecting. We still believe an exceptional stylist can completely change the way you shop. And we still get excited when a customer tells us that the jeans she's trying on remind her of the first thing she bought from us decades ago.

Thirty-four years in fashion is something we don't take lightly.
Trends have come back around. Hemlines have risen and fallen. Denim has gotten skinny, wide, straight, low, high—and everything in between.
But the women we dress have always been our constant.
