A Peek Inside Our Week at Market

Twice a year, our buying team heads to New York City to preview collections months before they ever arrive in stores.

While the photos may capture beautiful showrooms, inspiring collections, coffee stops, and dinners around the city, what they don't always show are the long days behind the scenes.

Market days start early and end late. We spend hours moving from showroom to showroom, combing through racks, touching fabrics, trying on samples, reviewing color palettes, and discussing every detail. Between appointments, you'll usually find us hurrying to the next neighborhood, jumping into Ubers, answering emails on the go, and comparing notes between meetings.

Every piece we bring into Uniquities is chosen with intention.

As we review hundreds of styles across dozens of collections, we're constantly asking ourselves the same questions:

• Will our customers love this?

• Does it feel fresh but wearable?

• Can it work seamlessly with pieces already in her closet?

• Is it special enough to earn a place in our stores?

There are countless conversations, lots of analyzing, and plenty of thoughtful debate as we narrow down the pieces that best reflect the Uniquities point of view.

Of course, market is also one of our favorite times to reconnect with longtime brand partners, discover exciting new collections, and gather inspiration for the seasons ahead. Some of our best ideas happen over dinner after a full day of appointments, reflecting on what we've seen and discussing the trends, colors, and silhouettes we're most excited about.

The result is what you'll see in our stores later this year: a highly curated collection of pieces we genuinely believe you'll love.
